Flora and Fauna

Played around with the light. Really wanted a black background to make the yellow really pop.
This is a Carolina Poppy, within 24 hrs the flower was in full bloom. Intentionally went for shallow DOF.
This is another one of my favourites. It's my Japanese Maple in the heart of the winter, all of the leaves are wrinkled, it was a breezy day, so the leaves have motion, while the twig and droplet remained still. It almost looks like smoke. I love the tone on tone.
This was one of my photography group challenges. We had to shoot 'High Key'. Cilantro leaf.
Another Photography Group Challenge. We had to shoot something with the light directly behind it, and have some of the light travel through the object. A simple Thistle.
 Brrrrrr. February in East Tennessee
 Freezing rain in East Tennessee.
At the Bar--my Bar. Wine anyone??
Lichen in Panther Creek park-middle of the winter.
 More Lichen-kinda like the Lichen.
Forgot what the Dickens this is--I know it's a flower duhhhh. I have a recollection of it being in the Tulip family.
From baby plants do Artichokes grow.
This was utterly crazy. I am in Panther Creek taking pictures of Lichen. I take the image of the Lichen, go back into the camera to make sure that the Lichen was in focus-only to find this majestic beast looking at me. He was maybe 15 feet away and I missed him completely.
 Young Chives about to bloom.
The Petals of this California Poppy almost look paper like.
All I can say is, olive oil, seasoning and a glass of Chardonnay mmmmmm.

I can almost smell them, Lavender, reminds me so much of France and England.

Japanese Maple with the Sun setting through her leaves. Fall in East Tennessee.
What a beautiful shade of blue.

Queen Anne's Lace

Life at the Top of the Road

This was 5 images all posted together to create a panoramic view. My first attempt.

Fletchers, next door.

Now, here I went crazy. Image is one shot of one Orchid. Used a flash light and a piece of glass on black felt.

Pretty Knoxville.

Went a bit dreamy.

Southern Living Farm at the top of the road.
